And Today ...
"Yes we can process 25000 cases in 48 hrs , that's called efficiency "
An we keep on accepting whatever is slapped on us and who knows what will be said to us in future.... "guys go home" ???
I wonder what.....something is coooking and they will be some changes soon. I have a feeling they are in fear of the lawsuit and media coverage as this thing has in fact taken off....

Coming in through H1 does'nt show your intention of becoming a permanent resident of this country. It only happens when the LC is applied. Although the entry date is an ingenious way, it will only create more issues. Now some one who comes in F1 can also ask for the same benefit when they move to H1, to take their entry date in F1 as their priority date. I believe the culprits are the labor substitution and the labor certification sales. Those are unfair. Stop labor substitutions, and if they need one, then use the 140 RD as the PD. That should solve most of the problems and people from using labor sub to jump the line.

Yes there was an organization just like IV which was instrumental in getting the AC21 provision. I just don't recollect the name probably IV core folks can provide more details.
Those time were different economy was booming and the anti-immigrants orgs esp against legal folks were non existent. Moreover EB folks had big uncertainty after 6yr clock on H1 expires. But now it is different, EB folks are busy tracking receipts and are happy with EAD and AP. SO who cares about rallying for a bill/amendment?
Visa numbers have been recaptured in the past (year 2000, I think).
Do we know more details on how this happened? Who worked for this and what did they do to make their efforts successful?

I am on H1 and AOS and I refinanced my house at 5% . There were no issues and no questions. Just all the usual documents - W2 , paystubs etc etc . It was with a local bank too and not with any high profile institution.

However, if there was any legislation relief, then it would be a different ball game altogether. May be we will see a repeat of 2002-2004 when all categories were current.

The new filing fees will be a huge amount, especially when they decide to file a premium processing request. Can you imagine how much these employers will lose for a single case if the case is filed on premium and denied!! Ouch!

We all are in this country by our free will..One has the option of walking away any time one wants. Civil disobidience is a tool of the citizens..In my opinions we would get more negative publicity if we go around picketing..First of all all of us are above the average income of a standard working class American family. The majority of the american people are just going to laugh at this. The rest would be hostile. The illegals marched in the streets and that just increased the resolve of the anti-immigrants. 1. Threads concerned with the Action Items and Legislative matters should be separated from the usual GC related questionnaire
If you look at the website you find a bunch of new threads related to 485 filing. Most of them bear answers in previous threads. People dont want to search..but that okay..they can form new threads if they are very desperate for the answers.
But at the same time due to the flood of these messages we are missing important notices and action items like this one.If we separate them somehow it will be helpful.
2. Lets have an organized tracking of 485s. Lets separate them by Visa category , country, PD or RD.
ex: Eb3 country: India
PD 2001: RD:...? LUD: ...?
PD:2004:
EB3 : China...
...
..
Lets have an option of adding friends approx dates who are not immigration voice members. This way we can have rough estimate about what happening. Lets not make threads for each category.
This way may be we have a very good track of the visas than USCIS...heheheh:D
I guess most of the 1v members are s/w engineers...i am not...orelse i would have volunteered to do this...

We're much better off here in the US when you compare our compatriots suffering in Britain. Britain has enforced a lot more regulations on immigrants, much to their chagrin.

Typically they send replies after a month or so. So please be patient and give a month or two. Then you should see some info regarding case status.
