Guys,
I applied AP in Jan 4th 2008. Last week on 13th there was a LUD on AP. Today the status changed to "Document Mailed to applicant". Based on your experiences does this means RFE or Approval. BTW i belong to Nebraska Service Center.

I believe that means the AP is on it's way. And you had a superfast turnaround time! I applied for AP on November 6'th, and my status changed to "Document Mailed to applicant" on March 17'th. Nebraska certainly seems to have a sort of LIFO policy rather than FIFO.
I still haven't received my documents either. I will wait a few more days before bugging my lawyer.

This is what I heared even before the flower campaigns started.
it seems they are planning to honor the July VB and make chanes in Aug VB. So I guess they will accept the applications in July. :rolleyes:

we (those who already filed + those will be filing) can never be united, may be it is our birth right to dispute each other. What a pathetic scene, guyz one thing to remember is unless old cases get cleared there is no way new one gets benefited in the long run.

I agree with you 100%.
The material damages to would-be July filers are a travesty. That is undeniable and deserves, at the minimum, material compensation.
But making the bulletins current in the first place, instead of a making a measured movement in the priority dates was like trying to fill a glass of water with a firehose. Broken glass and severe water damage were sure to follow.

I am a bit curious. How did you manage to stay in same company for 7 years. Or did you do labor transfer or changed company using EAD/AP.
Surprisingly, I have been with my employer since 2000. With all the economic issues going on in 2000/2001 it took us 2 years to file my labor.

Reverse Brian Drain. I believe it is already been identified and some of the State governors wrote to Washington that they are observing a reverse brain drain and it is not good for the country.
I just started my GC Process, But I kept a 5 Year time frame to try this out. That is my breaking point. I am sure everybody will have some or other breaking point. I don't think I want to browse IV website lifetime.
We do need to fight and give a sincere try to achieve this before the whole thing breaks out. But if it breaks out, I am sure both ends lose. I lose an opportunity to enjoy American dream.
Of course, America loses, jobs that I am indirectly creating. Taxes that I am paying. Social security. More than everything my experience.
In all this, my home country gains. All my savings and experience will work for India. I think it is an opportunity loss for America.
Imagine, 1M people, with an average saving of 20K per year with atleast 10 Years of compounding and then sending all this money to Home country to go back and settle there. It will create enough financial turbulence for any country.
On the contrary, Imagine the other way, if they give say citizenship faster, All those Indian Savings, repatriate to America. All of a sudden, America will add lot of fortune to their GDP for free.
