My labor is approved, but haven't received approval from immigration yet. Online status is showing it is 'CERTIFIED'. Can I file I-140/485 with just electronic confirmation of labor in case if it get delayed in receiving approval? Bwy does anybody have an idea in how many days immigration will dispatch the approval copy of labor after it is certified?

I have a work related travel (2 days max) coming up in January. Do I need a canadian visa. I am on AP and my US visa on my passport has expired. My H1 is valid till 2009 (not stamped on the passport).
My question is Do I need a canadian visa? Let me know if anyone had a similar experience.

If you are from a country who is not exempt from a canadian visa (especially for work), you should definitely get one. your AP does not entitle to enter any other country other than the U.S.

I was wondering about DOL letter which my employer received yesterday..for Recruitment process for 30 days..I wanted to know is it because of the conversion we did to RIR process some days back or is it just that they caught up with my TR application after 5 years..TR-Oct 2001

Spouse I-485 Receipt Notice.
Applied I-485 for my wife in the first week of September (8th Sept) when the dates became current, but haven't received the receipt
number yet.
I got an RFE (EVL) on my application which I submitted on 21 Sept. USCIS received the response on 22nd Sept and updated the case.
I am little worried that whether USCIS has received her application or not. Is there a way to find out, whether I can open an Service request or take an Info Pass regarding this?
Any suggestions will be helpful.

My wife came to USA on H4 visa in January 2004. Later when she got a job, she changed that to H1B in September 2004. Since we do not yet have the EAD or green card, her company is now filing the Perm labor certifcation, to make sure that she gets the 7th year extension of H1B. The rule is that you should file the labor before the 6th year starts.
My question is when does her 5th year ends. Was it on January 2009 based on her arrival in USA or is it on Sepetember 2009 sincw her H1B visa started only on Septemeber 2004?

Desc: I have a listbox populated with 100x100 images... i want to drag it from here and drop in onto an InkCanvas where i have drawn something.
Eg: I have drawn a house and i want to drop an image that describes the colour that must be filled. Hence the images wd be bold colour boxes that would indicate a colour.
Plz help :puzzle:

I sent the applications(I-140,I-485,I-131,I-765)to Nebraska center 3 weeks ago and it was received by them on December 17,2007(because I tracked the FedEx package).Until today,no receipts yet and my checks are not cashed yet and the receipting update says Current for Nebraska, is the normal or there is something wrong?

Hi,
Please advice on my situation.
1)I was on L1 and applied for change of status from L1 to h4.once this was approved(I just saw the approval had not recieved any docs) i had to traval to India becos of my health.
2)while in India i gt 2 know that my H1 gt approved in may end (I797 A with new I-94).
as planned i came back with h4 stamped.
does this effect my h1 which valid from 1 oct 2010 in any way as I am currenly on h4 and plz advice what needs to be done to work from 1 oct

Alternative is invoke AC21 to a know company, who can support your feature GC and continue to work to any employer by transferring your H1B.

I am currently a dependent E-1 on my wife's visa and currently have a valid EAD which will expire mid-2010.
We are about to file I-140 and I-485 and my question is, should I also file for a new EAD at the same time even if its still 8 months from expiry? I'm not sure what the difference is between an EAD under the E-1 visa, or an EAD when filing the I-485, or if it doesn't matter at all.
