I recently graduated and got a job. I am currently working on OPT and the application for my H1 has been filed. I am looking at applying to some graduate schools for their online programs for working professionals. If I apply for these programs right now will my OPT be void?If my F1 changes to an H1 in October will I still be able to apply for the program without any issues?

I've had my I-140, I-485 pending since August 2007 in Nebraska and i just started getting worried recently when i found out that the job title in the I-140 does not match the job name in my labor cert.
My labor cert took 4 years to be approved and in the meantime my job changed. It is still in the same field/department, in the same company, but it just evolved but still requires the same skills as the labor cert.
I was originally on H-1B and now i work with my EAD. My H1B was amended when my job changed but not the labor cert since we were well into the process when all this happened.
This is really the only concern that i have regarding the approval of my I-140 and I-485. Do any of you know if the job name difference would be a problem for the I-140 to be approved? At the least i hope they would send me an RFE and not deny it right away.
Thanks for any advice you could give me!

I am in L2 visa right now and I have an EAD to work. I got a job that I need to start on oct 01.
My spouse status will change from L1 to H1B from oct 01, as his employer filled for H1B.
Our L1 & L2 are valid until Aug 2011.
I don't have H4 yet.
What are the various options available for me to work?
1. Can I use my EAD to work which is valid until aug 2011?
2. Can I apply for H1B for me? If yes when I can start working with my H1B.
3. Is there is any way to maintain my husband L1 status until it's validity(Aug 2011) and then switching to H1B after L1 expires?

This is not really a surprise and it's not because American doctors are in any way inadequate. However, while virtually all US medical school graduates will eventually go on to practice medicine, residency and fellowship slots that go to J-1 and H-1B doctors are filled by doctors who generally finish near the top of their medical school classes. Where can i get photos for the Canadian visa. they have different specs. from the US pp photograph. I have already checked- Costco, USPS and the other stores.

My Original PERM labor certificate was lost in mail so we filed my I-140 without the PERM LC and asked USCIS to obtain the certificate from DoL. USCIS got the labour certificate from DoL and sent the original LC to us as an RFE to get my employer's and my signature on the perm certificate. My employer by mistake signed the labor certificate where I was supposed to sign :(. We have now covered his sign with white paint and I would be signing at correct place and sending back to USCIS. Do you think any white ink or over writing on original PERM certificate would matter in adjudication of my 140?

Hi All,
Please take couple of secs to finish this poll. No matter what was your case for interview..extension, renewal, first time..when was H1/H4 etc approved..where it was approved..etc etc..nothing matters. All that needs to be tracked is wait time.
As long as New Delhi consulate please do this and this will give an idea for wait times.
