I think we need to expose employers who are taking advantage of us in different ways just because we are stuck with them due to retrogression. This way if we cannot change the legislation right away we can atleast scare the crooks by exposing them so that they cannot trap new people.

Has anyone traveled to India by Virgin Atlantic connecting to Jet Airways at London ?
The ticket is from Virgin Atlantic (through ticket, Jet is their Code Share) .
For baggage rules, Virgin website says --
"Any passengers travelling from India to the USA, (and vice-versa), with Virgin Atlantic for their entire journey, which involves a connecting flight via London Heathrow, will be entitled to an additional bag up to 23kg ."
I sent them an email before ticketing and they replied I am entitled to two piece.
When I contacted them after ticketing , they say I am entitled to one piece. Logic was London - Mumbai is by Jet Airways (but my argument is the ticket shows VS flight number).
Does any one have any experience ?

Guys,
I am going to apply for Eb2. I already have Eb3 approved with the company that I am currently working. The other brand new company is offering me Eb2 with Perm but they don�t have any master degree in the company and also they have a very dummy attorney. I am not joining them until I can file 485 and make sure that I would not lose my PD.
I am form rest of the word category and the Eb2 in current.
Can some one help me with the ad text for Industrial engineer with +6 years of experience. The attorney doesn�t have any clue about Eb2 and specific add in paper. I guess I am going to help her.

Its okay to file the 485 at either texas or nebraska. Normally the lawyers file 485 to the same center where your 140 got approved. from.

I would call the 1-800-375-5283 number and ask them what to do. They should be able to change it over the phone.

I know that most of the people on this forum are EB filers. However, for the few stragglers here who are filing in the family based category, please share your experience on filing the I-751 (petition to remove the condition on the GC). Specifically, I'd like to know the following:
- Estimated time from filing date to receipt of permanent GC
- Did you have interview with USCIS?
- Compare / contrast with first interview during the AOS process.

Judge Susan Bolton, who heard arguments this week on the first of the Arizona lawsuits, has narrowed the issues she is considering blocking before the law takes effect next week. Some sections that are not in dispute, such as the provisions on day laborers, will take effect on the scheduled date. Hi
I have filed 140 /485 concurrent on Aug 3rd and haven't received any receipt. Have opened SR , Sent FAX ..but no updates.
As per the nrew rule implemented on July 16th , All the previously approved labor will expire on Jan 12 2008.
If for any reason we don;t receive receipt , what happens to labor.. Are we back to square one ..
If anybody in simiar situation... Please reply.

One of the stand out football players for the United States Military Academy at West Point is junior Alejandro Villanueva, a Spaniard who played high school football in Belgium. The wide receiver is also the tallest player in all of college football - 6 foot, 10 inches. Villanueva will have to serve five years in the Army after graduating and will probably be deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq. Hopefully, he'll still be able to have a shot at the pros when he is finished.

October is usually a month where we see improvements as new visa numbers become available for a new fiscal year. Most categories showed forward movement though few jumps of more than a few months. The exception is the Mexico Family 1st category which jumps a year and a half. EB-3 is available again, but not set at a date particularly close. Most people will not be happy with the dates. Sorry for the cross posting.
My papers were sent on June 21st, but they were receipted only on June 27th. Turns out USCIS returned my $1000 for premium processing :(.
My lawyer said they talked to USCIS and USCIS asked them to re-file with proof of receipt.
Did anyone who filed in end June have their 140 premium processing returned?
