They don't allow unpaid Commercial Advertising on these sites. Posting IV flyers can be construed as Commercial, even though IV itself is non-profit. I don't want them to ban my IP!
I think the best approach is to provide links to IV posts/forums, to drive the traffic here.

Can you send multiple applications in the same package.
Coz. my attorney gave me a tracking number and there are almost 4 names in the reference section of the Fedex Online Tracking System.
As long as they are separated inside with rubber bands and cover sheets, this is OK. This is very typical of how most law firms do it. This is actually covered in tips on how to assemble your packet. You are fine.

I've read the document. IEEE is supporting "Immigration Visas" but not H-1B visas(temporary).

I have applied AP two times so far. I have always got my AP started date is same as expired date of previous one so in a nut shell, I dint loose a single day. I have always sent a cover letter explaining the different dates so that might have been the key.

Everytime you want to switch employers, a whole new H1 must be filed.
People are always under the impression that because they already hold an H1, then it is easy to get "transferred" to another company.
In this case, the only thing you actually "transfer" is ...yourself and nothing else. The only advantage of already having an H1 is that you don't have to worry about the quota anymore, you are exempted from it.
Since you have to file a new case, approval can never be guaranteed and it is therefore always risky to switch employers (as soon as the new H1 is filed), without waiting for approval. Tricky stuff...

Yes. That's right. Anyone giving you a different opinion of things, or telling you that you are not headed in the right direction is anti-immigrant from NumbersUSA. The news for you is that you are not headed anywhere? The worst part is you have no idea where you are headed. What is IV working on now? What are the goals for next 6 weeks?
To give you a bad example of leadership, some core member in this thread wanted us to divert our attention from asking tough questions and told us to attack a Berry guy in some other forum. Let's say all 8000 members went and did that. What will that get us? Is that our mission?
A lot of you are living in lala land. If you don't know how much people are disgusted with IV, just look at the contributing members. I have tried to convince people (Indians and some Chinese) to join IV. People don't. They don't believe IV has the capability to get anything done. A lot of people don't care if IV existed or not. They believe that Congress will get to it when it deems right. Core members were asking a few weeks ago if that is the message people are sending. Yes it is. You are reading the message right. I don't want IV to die. I am suggesting people with leadership skills to come forward and get SOME F**KING RESULTS. That is what is needed. It is do or die situation.
I am not a leader and I don't want to pretend that I am. I ask others who are not to step down and encourage the right people to take leadership positions. I am a very dissatisfied member of IV. Are you satisfied with IV so far? Why doesn't everyone raise these questions? What has caused us to fail so far?
And for the record, I did pay when IV was formed. I don't want to contribute anything more till I believe in it.

This question is not to undermine the effort, which was tremendous but just from a realistic point of view...
I'm just curious to know how long it will take (or rather how long we are prepared to wait) for the impact of this rally to be felt and what are the changes that can be expected from USCIS as a result ?
Say, after waiting for a few months, status quo continues, what further actions are planned to persist with IV's cause (i.e. more rallies or by other means) ?
If the same question has been already raised, please ignore.

With Fragomen for 7 years now - right from initial H1B through work visas for - UK, Austria, Germany, Uk, China and GC in USA...
I have nothing but great things to say about them... Yeah there were some small hickups - its only human - Nothing big though.

All,
I visited the local office at Waukegan (Chicago suburb) last week to apply for SSN for my wife (H1 & EAD) and my minor son (H4) and was surprised to see SSN card in my mail box today for both of them!! :) (frankly I was expecting to see a denial letter for my son). Sequence of events
Me: submitted SSN form, passport for my minor Son
SSN officer: Upon seeing the visa. We do not accept application for h4 w/o work authorization
Me: I produced the printout of SSN provision 20 C.F.R. � 422.104(a)(3) and informed here that I need to apply for Federal benefit (stimulus package) and for that I would need one
SSN Officer: Oh yea..Oh yea.. there is a provision and she accepted the application
My sons SSN card displays "Not authorized to work".Thanks to Totoro posting the information on 05/03/2008.

Well, I hope mine gets resolved sooner than 6-8 months! My EAD is already expired and I could not apply since there was nothing in the application where I could show my status which is PR.

I will know only when I find it out through the lawyer. My previous lawyer who worked on my GC case said congratulations and everything was fine. I am eager to find out if it was a mistake on my own.
